Jerry Martin Brunen 1955-2018 - In Honoured Memory

The Board and Staff of Western Sky Land Trust mourn the loss of founding member and Executive Director Jerry Brunen
A beloved leader, colleague, mentor, avid outdoorsman and friend, Jerry served the environmental community for over 35 years. A talented and recognized conservation expert who cherished Alberta’s beautiful rivers and landscapes, Jerry was integral to many conservation initiatives that will have a lasting impact on our region. Even with his many accomplishments, Jerry will best be remembered for his integrity, warmth, and kindness in dealing with all who knew him.
His was a life that reflected the passion of his work and the responsibility of success shared so generously with others. He brought out the best in people and always gave his best.
While we will grieve the loss of such a special man, we are committed to honouring Jerry's legacy in conserving the landscapes he treasured.
