Western Sky was requested by landowners and the general public. We are a non-profit charitable organization that has been specifically designed to meet the needs of the region and will focus on conserving watersheds associated with agricultural, natural, heritage, scenic and recreational values. Please see our one page Western Sky Land Trust Overview document for more information. We have chosen five major types of landscapes associated with our watershed focus:

Meet our Board and Staff
Our current board consists of members that have been either appointed or voted for by our membership. We have insured that we have members who reside in each municipality that we serve and all bring talents and expertise required to conduct the business of our organization. For continuity, Board members have been assigned 2 or 3 year terms which allow elections to be held every year at our annual general meeting. We also have various working committees that have dedicated volunteers who provide their talents and expertise in assisting Western Sky. The committees are: Lands Committee, Finance Committee, Education Committee, Governance Committee, and Fund Development Committee. We are currently seeking volunteers for both our Board of Directors and Working Committees. If you are committed to conservation, would like to assist in advancing our mandate, and have a background in one or more of these areas: ranching, farming, accounting/finance, communications, fund development or biology - we would be interested in hearing from you.
