Are you interested in volunteering with Western Sky?
We recruit volunteers for the following working committees on an ongoing basis:

Lands Committee: Assesses future conservation opportunities by meeting with landowners and conducting site assessments, recommends securement processes for projects, develops management plans, and conducts annual management reviews.

Outreach and Awareness Committee: Contributes to raising the profile of Western Sky Land Trust and our conservation message through research and participation in stakeholder activities, writing communication materials, event planning, website development and management, and media engagement.

Fund Development: Helps identify fund development opportunities, and assists with meetings, presentations, events and associated applications.

Finance Committee: Provides direction to the Board on financial matters including, but not limited to, budgets, financial reports, and investment of funds, and is responsible for year end and the annual charitable return.

Governance & Nominating Committee: Contributes to the development and execution of policies and procedures, recruits and makes recommendations for potential Board and Committee Members, monitors the effectiveness and performance of the Board, and oversees the Annual Meeting and Societal Return.

If you are committed to conservation, would like to assist in advancing our mandate, and have a background in one or more of these areas: ranching, farming, accounting/finance, communications, website management, fund development, biology or administration we would be interested in hearing from you.

We realize that you don't have to own land to care about it. As a member, you will receive information on Land Trust happenings and get a vote to elect our Board of Directors at our Annual General Meetings.

ALL members get a vote at our Annual General Meetings.
