I live on a beautiful piece of native grassland near Madden, Alberta, where we share our home with deer, moose, elk, muskrats, and a variety of other wildlife that call our land home.
After earning a degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Calgary, I started my career in the agriculture industry—first in research, then in sales and customer service. When my children were young, I shifted my focus to the nonprofit sector, working with organizations such as the Airdrie & District Agricultural Society and the Rocky View Central Recreation Board. That path eventually led me to the City of Airdrie, where I supported nonprofits as part of the Community Development team and later worked with local businesses through the Economic Development team. In April 2025, I joined Western Sky Land Trust after spending two and a half years leading another regional land trust in central Alberta. I’m excited to bring together my background in biology, experience in agriculture and nonprofits, and deep passion for private land conservation in my role with Western Sky. |
