Jerry Brunen’s friends, family and colleagues came together on June 27, 2019 to honour a special man and share a passion for land conservation. Officiated by Alberta’s Lieutenant Governor, the Honourable Lois Mitchell, a beautiful stretch of heritage lands has now been officially named The Jerry Brunen Bow River Views.
The installation that is now referred to as “Jerry’s Rock”, graces the uplands and beautiful Bow River valley, a place Jerry often explored. It honours not only Jerry’s fine character and exemplary values, but also his legacy to the conservation community.
